Learn more about Gabriella below!

1. How did you get involved with music publicity?

I first got involved in music publicity after taking a Public Relations in the Music Industry course at my alma mater. It's crazy how one course can completely change your perspective of what you want to do post-college, but it did for me. After learning all the ropes, I decided to crank it up a notch my senior year by launching my own marketing and PR company as my capstone project. And the rest was history!

2. What do you think makes your approach to PR unique and indispensable to the industry?

I come from an entertainment marketing background, so being able to use and apply that knowledge when representing my clients has been certainly useful in the long-run when securing unique pieces. I like to think creatively, so that has certainly driven some of my favorite opportunities I've ever secured.

4. What is your most noteworthy project or achievement to date?

There are a few highlights for me for sure, but I think my most noteworthy achievement is handling press for 'Say Things That Matter' as that was my first ever full-length album campaign that I got to work on. I can't tell you how many hours I've put into pitching the sh*t out of that campaign, but it definitely paid off.

5. What are your genres of music? Favorite artists?

I know everyone says they're "diverse" but I think I am truly the definition of what diverse music taste looks like. Especially because people look at me and think I'm so particular when it comes to music. And that's not the case really. Music has been my personality trait since I was 2 years old - and I think it's in part because of how I was raised, and being from NYC - the birthplace of so many genres.

I grew up in a hip-hop household, so acts like A Tribe Called Quest, Mary J. Blige, Eric B. & Rakim, Alicia Keys, Tony Touch and Ivy Queen were artists I got familiar with at a young age. Hip-hop is something that will always be dear to me because there is so much rich history there. I also owe it to my parents for introducing me to rock as well. And the range of it all is pretty widespread - my dad had me listen to a lot of U2 and Nirvana and Led Zeppelin, but also to a lot of The Black Keys and Vampire Weekend and latin rock artists like Gustavo Cerati.

Right now I've been more deep into electronic music. Artists like COBRAH, SOPHIE and 박혜진 Park Hye Jin have been on constant rotation for me this year.

As for favorite artists...'nostalgia, ultra.' was the first mixtape I ever listened to in full, so Frank Ocean has been a huge influence on me - but other favorites include Rihanna, Little Dragon, King Krule, Bon Iver, Kali Uchis, Modest Mouse, Hiatus Kaiyote, Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse, The Jungle Giants and Tyler, the Creator. That's actually a hefty list hahaha.

6. If you could do PR for ANY artist ever, who would you choose and why?

Tyler, the Creator would be so much fun to do PR for. I know that's bold to say, cause a few years ago he was probably every publicist's nightmare - but it would be quite boring to work with an artist who takes things way too seriously. Plus, he's an insanely talented artist, so it would be awesome to be part of his impact in some way.
